Parameter SCRUMstudy™ Others

1. Qualified and Experienced Consultants

SCRUMstudy has 400+ SCRUMstudy Certified Agile Coaches (SCAC) and SCRUMstudy Certified Trainers (SCT®). All SCRUMstudy certified coaches/consultants undergo a rigorous assessment process that requires them to exhibit proficiency in the concepts of Scrum and Agile, and successfully pass three SCRUMstudy certification exams.

All SCRUMstudy certified coaches/consultants are experts in practicing Scrum and in helping organizations transition to Scrum or to improve after a transition. As part of the certification process, coaches/consultants must submit their projects to SCRUMstudy for a thorough review.

All SCRUMstudy certified coaches/consultants are also experienced trainers who are able to provide training to your groups as needed.

Moreover, feedback about SCRUMstudy coaches/consultants is thoroughly reviewed, and they regularly participate in “Train-the-Coaches” sessions for continuous improvement of their skills.

Usually, other Scrum Certifications do not have such strict requirements for trainer/consultant accreditation, and thus the quality of their trainers/consultants is inconsistent.

2. Global Reach with Multi-lingual Support

SCRUMstudy has the largest Authorized Training Partner (A.T.P.) network of 2,100+ partners in 90+ countries who can help companies with Scrum coaching, implementation, and training. SCRUMstudy partners include the biggest Scrum training/coaching organizations such as New Horizons, Global Knowledge, Arizona State University, University of La Verne, IT Era, and several more. Languages supported include English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian – and will be extended to French, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and other languages in the near future.

SCRUMstudy’s global reach and multi-lingual support is very valuable for companies with global operations who need scalable implementation of their Scrum/Agile initiatives.

Other Scrum implementation/coaching companies are comparatively very small with limited reach in few geographies, and negligible multi-lingual support.

3. Biggest Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile Certifications

Google Trends and LinkedIn show that SCRUMstudy with its large network of Authorized Training Partners (A.T.P.) has overtaken Scrum Alliance to become the biggest accreditation body for Scrum and Agile certifications.

Other Scrum and Agile accreditation bodies are smaller and not as well-recognized as SCRUMstudy.

4. Students from 7,500+ Companies in 150+ Countries

VMEdu® has trained/certified more than 325,000 persons in delivering successful projects. More than 5,000 students are certified by SCRUMstudy each month which is more than any other certification body. Employees of 7500+ companies from 150+ countries have enrolled with SCRUMstudy/VMEdu®.

Other Scrum accreditation bodies are not as popular or as widely accepted.

5. Standardized Scrum Framework as Provided in ‘A Guide to the Scrum Body of Knowledge (SBOK® Guide)’

SCRUMstudy Scrum framework is based on ‘A Guide to the Scrum Body of Knowledge (SBOK® Guide)’ developed by SCRUMstudy, which is a detailed guide about ‘how-to’ implement Scrum. The SBOK® Guide is the definitive and detailed industry guide endorsed by Scrum experts. The propagation of Scrum is easier because all Scrum practitioners speak the same common language.

The SBOK® Guide is available for free in multiple languages such as English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Italian. Download Free SBOK® Guide

Typically do not have a detailed Scrum framework – most consultants base their Scrum practice around a 16-page Scrum manual which is not in-depth and lacks detail.

Without a standardized Scrum Framework, Scrum/Agile implementation is usually dependent solely on the competency of the consultant, and is not very scalable.

6. Applicable to Companies of Different Sizes

The Scrum framework provided in the SBOK® Guide is applicable for companies of different sizes. The Scrum framework is adapted for effective use in larger companies at the project, program, and portfolio level. To facilitate the best application of the Scrum framework, the SBOK®Guide provides detailed sections on Scrum for Large Projects and Scrum for the Enterprise. Each of the aspects of Project Delivery such as Business Justification, Quality, Cost, Risk, and Schedule are explained not just at the Project level but also at a Portfolio and Program level, since this is the way organizations work.

The standardized SCRUMstudy Scrum framework is thus applicable to small companies as well as complex organizations with numerous business units, multiple product lines, and thousands of employees across many countries.

Other Scrum frameworks are limited to a 16-page manual, and Scrum training for large projects is dependent solely on the trainer’s knowledge.

7. Applicable to Any Industry

The Scrum framework provided in the SBOK® Guide is industry-agnostic and can be applied to companies from any industry.

Limited to software industry

8. Faster Time-to-Market

With its standardized Scrum framework (based on the SBOK® Guide), global presence, and the biggest network of partner companies and certified consultants/trainers, SCRUMstudy can help companies with faster time-to-market for their Scrum/Agile project transformation and implementation.

Typically companies are small, and without a standardized framework. Expertise is limited to few Scrum/Agile coaches and Scrum/Agile implementation takes much longer.

9. Adaptive Scrum Framework – Co-exist with Other Project/Scrum/Agile Frameworks

SCRUMstudy Scrum framework is highly adaptive and not prescriptive. So, it can be integrated with other Scrum/Agile delivery frameworks within the company.

The non-prescriptive nature of the SCRUMstudy Scrum framework makes it easier for companies and teams to transition to Scrum, and align with existing project management practices in the company.

Other Scrum frameworks are prescriptive and make it difficult for companies to transition from existing project delivery frameworks, or work with other Scrum/Agile frameworks.

10. Cost Effective Scrum Training and Implementation

Since Scrum is a collaborative framework requiring participation from the whole project team, training the whole project team on Scrum is very important for successful implementation of Scrum.

SCRUMstudy offers multiple training and implementation methods such as face-to-face sessions, virtual sessions, free webinars, online self-paced courses, and mobile apps – so that professionals can get trained on Scrum through the mode that suits them the best. Blended learning approach is much more adaptable and cost-effective as compared to just a physical classroom only approach. It not only improves learning but also helps decrease costs and improve ROI for the Scrum/Agile transformation.

Other Scrum training companies do not offer multiple learning modes for professionals and typically use only physical classes for training.

11. Credible and Standard Testing Environment

With an emphasis on providing candidates with a reliable and credible testing environment, we conduct certification exams using our live online proctoring system unlike other certifying bodies. This allows participants to take certification exams from the comfort of their homes. All exams will be proctored live and videos of exams will be recorded and reviewed by our assessment team.

Other Scrum certifications do not have a standardized examination. Most of them only require candidates to be present for a workshop and take a test, the result of which has no bearing on whether the candidate qualifies for the certification. These kinds of certifications never have the credibility companies require to select candidates for key roles.

12. Active Scrum and Agile Community

SCRUMstudy engages the Scrum/Agile community through active discussions on LinkedIn. With 100,000+ members, SCRUMstudy LinkedIn Group is the largest and the fastest growing Group for Scrum/Agile on LinkedIn. Join SCRUMstudy LinkedIn Group
